Any freshwater planted tanks out there ??

Hey guys, this is my Apistogramma caucatoides "Triple Red" pond. The plants were all delivered this week and installed after the tank fully cycled with a male halfmoon Betta fish. I started adding moss and some unknown red leafed bulb plant maybe 3 weeks ago which started to make a dent in the algae and since I added the rest of the plants, the algae growth has been minimal so I'm very confident I'm winning this war and once everything is rooted and established the tank will flourish. The only thing I'll be adding is a dwarf fancy pleco if I can find one at a reasonable cost. The more I look at this tank, the more I want to rearrange everything already. I'll post a build thread for this one soon, I'm currently constructing two more planted tanks and an Apistogramma sp. breeding tank shelf. Sorry for the photo quality, I need to get better lighting in my living room and learn to have a steadier hand ;)
Is that an orchid on the wood?!

Yessir! I have two white Phalaenopsis sp. orchids I'm currently training to grow on that log. I cut the old flower spikes off of them to promote root growth. Hopefully my idea works and so far the results from the past two months have been encouraging. One of the orchids actually grew an entirely new plant out of a node that was forming on the side of the plant.

That’s awesome! I may have to try that. Though I think I’ll get a new one of the smaller species since I have the 10 gallon version of that uns shallow tank.

Back before the reef

Just converted my 75G reef tank into a freshwater tank. It has been running for about 2-3 weeks.
Fish includes: guppy, balloon molly, lyretail molly, red eye tetra, neon tetra, bristlenose plecko, algae cleaner, and glowlight tetra.
Light: 40W led light from Job Lot for $20 :)....

I just started my first planted tank a week or so ago. Its a 3gal UNS tank, twinstar led, and pressurized CO2.

I will say, placing stem plants is more frustrating than gluing down corals haha. Ill get the hang of it.

Have an order of more plants coming in next week. Going to try my hand at dwarf hair grass. Once its all settled, I will stock it with Bloody Mary Shrimp!

Nice set up to start with! I don’t know if you ever loose that particular frustration.

The planted 24/7 light is great. Had another grow light but replaced to get the 24/7. Plants grew way faster and out of control. I cut my plants back by half every 60 days or so now.
Finnex is the brand. Watch amazon warehouse deals sometimes you can get damaged box but maked good to like new. The product is still perfect and you have to do a lot to damage and led but make sure it has the remote as they are $20 and shipping to replace. A few pictures of the 75 and 180. Tried to grab picks of the bright green of the leaves. Sometimes I feel I need more fish in the 75 as the plants consume faster than fish produce and I need to supplement... so I buy more fish!

I just finished setting up a freshwater planted tank for my buddy's kids. 15 gallon tank nothing fancy since his son is only 8. Went with an avatar theme should be really cool once it grows out. For the record I did not approve of the nemo insert
