I hear you, thought you were going for a silent strike , then be like wham
There it is.
All good brother, take your time and do it the right way

I know my 55 corner has a durso and the water level is like 8-12 inches below the tanks water line. Not sure why but it causes the tank to be noisy. Not sure how to fix mine. Is that water level the same as the tank? If so I would say it would need to drop below the tank level to ensure surface skimming.

Water is just above the teeth so it is lower in the overflow box. It's Super silent. I have gate valves on both returns & supply's so i can tune all 4 as needed. I was going to post a video but I cant on tap talk and it is to large to post on the main website

Looking great! what made you choose the trigger systems 34 instead of the 39?

maybe i overkilled my 90g with the 39..definitely going to follow for when i upgrade to a 180g

Space was one consideration I wanted room for doser and dosing containers as well as all apex and other controllers to mount underneath away from the sump

You could setup a herbie overflow and it would be silent. 8-12 inches is a pretty big cascade. If the durso pipe was higher it may be less noisy.

Is this a good water level with the dursos. First time having them

That standpipe looks pretty high to me. Usually the top of the durso is lower or at level height with the return. Then the water level would be a lower in the overflow so less to drain when pump is off and better cascade.

Thanks, I realized that after a little more reading and lowered the 2 standpipes. It is really quiet now. After I got all of my supply and return valves balanced I can barely hear anything

Awesome job bud, is that the final resting place or are you moving the old tank and placing the 120 there?

In place, now time to start the dry rock rock-scaping

55g moved successfully. Looks lie the blinds will stay shut for a few days since I only have the ability to mix 20G of water at a time. Time for a 55G salt mix barrel

100 lbs of Dry rock in. I like how it looks so far. Time to get some water in so I can add arag-alive pink Fiji select sand. and continue to fill it up. 55 lbs of 3yo live rock going in from the 55G to the 120G when I do the tank swap. Going to add some dr Tims one and only for some additional nitrifying bacteria too. Fingers crossed no cycle. I do not think there will be any die off going from one tank to the other? Opinions? My first tank swap and I want everything/everyone to be [emoji108]
