The plastic cover that comes on the biocube became yellow and hazed.

So I had asked about this and someone from BRS ( don't remember who ) said to cut out the plastic and just leave about a inch all the way around and silicone a piece of acrylic.

My par on the outside of the plastic was 900
Now it maxes the meter ( think it only reads to 2000 )
At the sand I was getting 25 now it's at 100.

Conclusion, if you own a biocube or any other hooded reef make sure that the plastic isn't robbing you of light.

I have clear plastic polish. I does wonders. Bring it and we will polish it.

Im too late. Hehe. I just ran into the same thing the other day with my old T5 fixture. I hand-polished the acrylic light cover and all the alk/calcium saturation on it went right off. Im glad your tank gets the light intensity it needs now! Happy reefing!

I used the nanobox retro plus
To polish plastics you can use very light abrasive metal compound or even toothpaste
