Back in the game - 55g

Finally upgraded from my Biocube I've had for about 10yrs. The Biocube was basically running on low maintenance mode for the past several years due to the rest of life being busy. But now with a new tank in my new home work space it's time to get back in the game. Went with a 55g, really wanted the 75 but the space just couldn't fit it. New tank has been up for 3 months, with live rock and some corals from old thank. Added some corals but looking to Fragtastic to stock up. :)

New setup
  • 55 Gallon
  • SeaChem Tidal 55 (keeping it simple, may upgrade to sump in the future)
    • chemipure blue
    • filter floss
  • RedSea ReefLed 50 x 2
    • Tried the Orbit Marine IC PRO Bluetooth, kids loved the storm affects but just didn't have the PAR or pop I was looking for. Also loved that they were low profile and had very little light beading.
    • So far love the ReefLeds
  • AI Nero 5 Wave pump
  • Kamoer X1 micropump
    • Dosing all-for-reef
  • Bi-weekly water changes with mostly NSW
    • for those who have concerns, been doing this for 10yrs an never had a problem with the water :)
Fish
  • 1 black storm clown, 1 black frostbite clown
  • 3 Springer / Sapphire damsel
  • Planning to add 1-2 more

Still figuring out the best camera settings. In the old tank I had built my own LED array and could really dial in the color to look correct on camera.
