AD to DC Pump

Hello,

just wondering if its possible to replace my AC skimmer pump in my Bubble Magus curve 9 to a DC pump that I can control the speed?

Its possible to replace it but you will need to modify the bottom plate and will need a diffrent pump brakcket as the dc pumps are slide into grooves on the pump bracket instead of clamping on like the AC pump. The upgrade dosent justify the cost.

Look at the reefbreeders website. BubbleMagus and CoralBox are very similar. Logan sells conversion kits with pumps and all the fixings for short money. I am thinking of the same upgrade as I have a BM Curve 9 with DC pump that has no controller. The website does say they work with BM. Logan gives great support to customers.

The DCA protein skimmer pumps will work with many skimmers with external skimmer pump. There are generally two things to consider when replace an internal pump, the mounting bracket at the bottom plate and the length of the air intake attachment. You may need to modify both.
