Almost 4 years and my Lobster died is my water too hard?...

After almost 4 years my emerald blue crayfish/lobster has died. In addition to doing 25-35% water changes, I clean all the filtration at least once a week, considering selling remaing live stock and converting to salt. This is my test strip after dipping and 30 seconds elapsed.

A quick search indicates an average lifespan is 5 years in the wild. Captive lives tend to be shorter. 4 years sounds about right.
