Here is a little back round on me I have been keeping feel tanks for the last 4+ years, and before that I had a freshwater tanks from the age of 6 through the end of college. I started off my saltwater career with a 29 gallon std glass aquarium running a canister filter. After running that tank for 6 months in parallel with my 75 gallon cichlids tank I decided that I needed to have a 75 reef tank.

Here is a picture of my 75 gallon tank the day that it was filled 1/14/13.

You can see my original 29 gallon tank running in the left hand side.

And here is a picture of my 75 gallon after I transferred all the rock from and coral from my 29 gallon tank. The date of this picture is 1/11/13.

I was very happy with this tank but it still wasn't giving my everything that I wanted. So over the next months I kept on adding and adding to the tank and soon realized that I needed to go bigger.

Here is a photo of the tank on 10/1/13. Lots of new rock and corals and some corals have grown extremely well and taken over the rocks they are on.

So knowing that I need a bigger tank I first check with my king time girlfriend at the time to make sure the she is in board with me getting a bigger tank. Her response was you get me a ring and you can get any tank that you want. So fast forward to May of 2015 and I finally get what she has been waiting for! (Well she got her ring in March so I had to wait a few months)

Slowly but sure I started to build my new dream tank a 120 gallon RR peninsula tank with a two chamber sump running macro bubble algae and a sicce syncra 4.0 as my return and 2 AI Hydra 52s. Now if you fast forward to present day I have continued to build and add to my tank and present day it looks much different than it did back in May 2015.

Here is a picture of my tank as it stands today.

The tank is probably going to be overstocked in everyone opinion but I have kept my nitrates below 20 for the past 4 months and feed only what the feed are able to eat.

I currently have:

1 yellow belly hippo tang about 5 inches (I know this will out grow the tank)
1 yellow belly corris wrasse
1 mallanerous wrasse
1 wheelers goby with tiger pistol
1 Araura goby with candy pistol
1 sunset fairy wrasse male
1 flasher wrasse make
1 solarus wrasse
2 yashe hassa goby
1 pigmy angle alt color
2 Darwin clowns
1 perc. Clown
1 geo. pigmy hawk
1 tomini tang
1 lawn mower blenny
1 chromis
7 rbta

I have many Zoas and palys and mushrooms too

For flow in the tank I have my return pump and I run two MP40 WD running in anti sync in reef crest mode at 70%. One is positioned on the left hand side of the tank and the other is on the rear of the tank 3/4 of the way down towards the other end. I also run a maxspect gyre 150 in pulse mode at 50% pushing water towards my overflow and ensuring no proteins and collect on my surface.

I also run screen tops to keep all my wrasses and gobies in screens are cheap, fish are not!

Nice to read a background story like that, the tank looks great!

Jim

Thank Jim! I appreciate it

Also I have a general question does anyone know what kind of coral this is

Best picture I can get right now due to my LEDs.

I feel like it might be a meteor shower but not sure
