Best budget reef camera

I am looking for a good camera (Canon point and shoot type). I'm not going to spend $3K on a DSLR.

For years I had a Canon A700. It did everything I wanted (color swap, manual mode, etc.) At this point my Galaxy S8 is better. The old canon is 6MP and the focus simply takes too long if it works at all. I want something that I can adjust to stop the blue light from washing everything out.

If I would be better off just buying s $30 yellow lens for the Galaxy I would. I'd like something to take crisp pictures of the reef (filtering out some blue)and pictures of the dogs, flowers, etc.

I'd like to be in the $300 range, and I am a Canon fan.

I’ve heard good things about the Nikon Coolpix W300. No experience with it directly but people I dived with used it got some awesome photos/footage. You’d probably want to rig an orange lens onto it for the blue lights but its right in your price range too.
