Have you checked into the Florida aquacultured rock. the reason I ask is years ago when I first got into this hobby the rock used to be wild collected from the Florida waters. It was out of the ocean for less than 24 hours. Everything is shipped next day from Fla. So no need to scrub off all the flora and fauna, truly amazing the abundance of micro fauna on the rock as well. The down side may be some undesirable hitch hikers. But well worth the trade off. You may want to ask someone who had purchased some recently though to see how it's coming through. Just food for thought.
