Brown/red Algae

OK-How do i get rid of it?? Its like cobb webs over my sand. What eats that stuff>? ill try to get pics but no promises since my dig camera is on loan. any idea of how to get rid of that ugly junk?

is it cyanobacteria?
you can try a search on RC or RDO for pics to identify.

1) how long has the tank been set up?
2) have you recently measured nitrites, nitrates, and phosphates? what are the results?
3) are you using RO or RO/DI water?
4) is your protein skimmer working well? is it the right size unit for your tank?
