Since we are talking about the prefilters before the membrane I reluctantly say it will probably work, but being in the water filtration business and servicing RO's as my day job I will say it's quality and it's capacity to remove contaminants is severely less than the one from BRS or any actual filter supplier(I buy these bulk for like 50 cents a piece) BRS just has a nice sticker on it. So I would find a supplier of those better filters somewhere else for cheaper and not use the low quality Home Depot option, consider the carbon make up, was it acid washed? Prerinsed? Are you putting a granulated before hand to reduce clogging of the block?
