Chemipure - effective or nonsense?

I bought some a few weeks ago as my phosphates are running 0.25ppm and my nitrates are about 5ppm.

After 3 weeks of running Chemipure Blue my phosphate is 0.25ppm and my nitrates are 5ppm.

Anyone use this product and actually able to measure a real effect?

I am thinking it is just overpriced activated carbon.

Chemipure blue is like carbon and purigen
Chemipure elite is carbon with gfo
If your trying to reduce Po4 use elite. I’ve used the elite and it works, just expensive though.

You can go to Bulk Reef Supply, buy both carbon and GFO in "bulk". Then mix them yourself in the re-usable bags.

I use Chemipure elite to help with phophates. I think it works well. Remember to replace it every couple of months.

Has anyone actually done an experiment where they test their aquarium before/after and see if Chemipure does anything measurable? Or take chemipure out if you've been running it for a while and see if parameters get worse?

Chemipure blue is designed to reduce phosphates in reef aquariums - its done nothing in mine in three weeks. I love this hobby but their is a lot of voodoo nonsense floating around...

Chemipure blue contains so little GFO that basically useless.
It is just very expensive activated carbon, which comes with a mesh bag.
