Coarse filter mesh?

Is that what it really called, and where do I find it? It's a rigid (but cut-able) plastic foam. BRS sells it as Aquamesh from Lifegard but they only offer it in 1.5" thick. I'm looking for something at least 3.5" at it's smallest dimension. I had a big piece in the sump that was acting as a bubble filter, macro filter, and it held the heater and cords in one place. I tossed what was there thinking I could get it easy enough, but not so far. Any help is appreciated.
