did this work? I am guessing it didn't. If you are able to starve the cotton candy, you will also starve your corals and they will die. Just a hunch. I have battled cotton candy and am on the verge of giving up and restarting. I am here now looking for something that works.

BTW, mexican turbos do eat it. Maybe the trick is to always ensure that you have several in the tank, sump, etc. I doubt you will ever get it removed, but you may be able to control it.
 
I've been able to reduce it by reducing the lighting and being on top of the nitrates. As soon as I stop being on top of it, it starts to come back
