Dumb question

Is it ok to use glass cleaner on the outside of a tank. What does everyone use to keep the glass clean so you can see the reef?

I don’t risk it but others might. I use paper towels with tap water to wipe up salt and drips and then dry with a clean paper towel.

I mix RO water and distilled white vinegar in a spray bottle and use like window cleaner with paper towels on that front of my tank and cabinet

I generally use RO but maybe once a month or so i spray glass cleaner on paper towels away from the tank and give the glass a real good cleaning. I think Frizt or something like that sells an aquarium safe glass cleaner.

I use glass cleaner on the rare occasion I actually clean it like thatbut I have a canopy covering the tank. If I didn't I don't know if I would. But for normal water spilling I just use a towel...

I use ro water and a towel. But maybe I will start mixing a little vinegar.

Foster and Smith aquarium cleaner. I started using it when I had an acrylic tank.

Note DO NOT use vinegar on acrylic. Works great on glass. But I am lazy and just use water myself.

Windex is fine just spray it on the paper towel first and u will never have a problem been doing it for 10 years plus with no issue
