Hey guys one head on my Duncan has closed ...seems like a dark fungus on it what should I do

If it’s coming out of the mouth then it may be excrements. If it looks like the coral is turning into brown jelly, then it’s brown jelly. Can’t tell by the pic.

If brown jelly cut head off asap

Then fix alk and calcium

I am assuming brown jelly it’s spreading to heads next to it ..... can be dipped or def test calcium and alk. I am changing water 15% every two weeks religiously

ok guys.... i dipped my duncan for about 45 minutes did a freshwater rinse, put him back in and checked parameters dosed. He was pretty pissed for a couple days, from the dip and rinse but only lost the single head and never had to cut it off. New heads growing in around it so i think i am good, thanks for the help.

Just an update on this old thread ..... I tested and have been dosing.... I also dipped the Duncan which helped. The whole tank is exploded with new life thanks for the help friends
