Emerald crab

Came downstairs this morning to find my emerald crab sitting In my birds nest and was hoping it wasn’t causing a problem. Lights were off so I could t see much of anything.

Any concern for it eating polyps or anything?

Going to inspect later after work to see if it got any polyps or anything, but was just wondering if anyone had a similar case and should I be concerned?

I’ve had emerald crabs eat sps before. They’ll eat anything if they’re hungry. I had to spot feed mine everyday.

I picked up an emerald a week or so ago that I also found in my large birdsnest coral. I didn't notice it picking at anything, but rather feel it just felt safe there. I'll keep eye on it as much as I can, since it barely is visible during day. I got it in hopes of eating some green bubble algae in my tank but haven't noticed it doing its just yet, figures. :/

i have had dozens of them ....even at the same time in an SPS dominated system. I will see some "living" in my SPS and even looking like they are picking...but never really any damage. I have one now that hosts a purple stylo but its all good. It just may be curious. ...but...I have heard horror stories, just never really experienced them
