Eshopps nano skimmer

Does anyone have one of these skimmers. I turned it on today and it started making a noise like it was a filter with no water. I think it has to be farther down in the water my problem is there is media. Does anyone have one and how far does yours go down it the water.

Is it used or brand new? If it is used, check the propeller magnet for damage.

I have one, it needs to have the entire pump submerged, at least. The grey part. You can pivot that up or down depending on your installation space.

I found it does best when you leave it further in than just having the pump minimally submerged. It is a small sicce and cannot produce the head pressure to fill the chamber and create skimmate. You may be able to retrofit with a larger sicce micra to get it higher out of the water and still remove waste. If you get no product, submerge further until foam head gets into the skimmer neck
