Getting back into the hobby after a few years of totally missing it! I used to have a 90 gallon SPS dominate tank.

My 18 month old Evelyn loves the movie “Finding Nemo.” So this was the perfect opportunity to talk my wife into getting her a tank! (I didn’t want the tank ;)) LOL.

So we decided on the innovative marine 30L and we picked it up from Greg at Underwater World.

Then we designed the rock-scape. We cut paper towel to the length and width of the interior footprint of the tank.

Built a stand from a bathroom vanity cabinet. Flushed out the toekick area and added some nice base molding to it. To make it look more like furniture.

Had a marble top made for it. This piece comes from Brazil. Love the movement in this stone.

Finally!!! We have water!!! Evelyn can not wait to add “Momo” (Nemo) to the tank.

Was unsure on what lighting to go with but I knew I wanted to grow SPS again. Do I decided to take the plunge and go with the raidon XR15 G4. One wasn’t cutting it so we ordered a second.

That’s a nifty little set up! What was the decision for the larger stand for the smaller tank? Storage or sump?
Thank you! To be honest I got the cabinet for free from work. It was a little damaged so I fixed it up. The extra space is going to be for top off and dosing containers. I was going to cut the cabinet down but figured I could use the space.

Cue the tang police!!! She’s the size of a quarter and this is just a temporary home.

Great set up!! And your little helper is adorable. I have to admit though.. the sight of someone under 99 years old with a mag float or scraper freaks me out a bit!

My son has been a fish freak for years and years. It’s also been a life saver for teaching. He was having trouble in 8th grade or so learning the equations for concentrating and titers. So I was like, kid! You’ve known this for years!! Auto top off!!

Thank you! It is a great learning tool for kids. She is starting to really talk now. So the tank helps her identify certain animals and helps her practice her words.

Stand mod. Used flip down hinges to utilize a fixed drawer head. I used the space to mount my controls.

Looks good. Reminds me of when my daughters were small and would love going to all the LFS and meetings. Now they're too cool to hang out with Dad. Enjoy:)

Awesome looking tank! My daughters only 3.5 months but I’m hoping as she gets older we can enjoy our new tank together as well!
