How to get gsp on back

I have a 2 x 4 strip of gsp not attached to a rock if intrested!

I got a magnetic frag plug that I attached the gsp to then placed it on whatever wall I wanted it and it would grow off the plug onto the wall.

I just bought these my problem is I run in aio tank and I want them on backwall so the problem is they are underwater.... I'm nervous about this anyone chime in. Thanks

I tried placing the plug next to it but it would not grow onto the back wall so i just glued it on

Magents are convenient, but I try to minimize magnets in the tank. I’ve had several frag rack magnets rust before.

You can buy reef safe magnets. Just search on reef2reef and you will find a few threads. I think I bought some from kjmagnetics.com.

Mine is a branching type and made the jump all by itself. I'm scraping it weekly at the top so it doesn't obstruct the overflow.

I didn’t know there was a branching gsp

It grows in a may, then it grows chutes out of the mat. One of the chutes made its way to the back.
