Idea for in stand frag tank (Sump addon)

Hi all,

trying to keep my setup tight and tidy. I will have a stand with internal dimensions of ~22x34 and will have a sump in place. I'm looking into ideas for an easy add-on frag tank that will provide a decent amount of growing area.

Here's a container I really like:

They also sell an insert that is basically a frag rack... pretty nice:

The larger tray is HDPE so it should be a great reef safe material.

I would plan on mounting the tank right above the sump and drilling a return in the bottom or side. I'd likely use a hang on return so that the frag tank could be taken out for easy cleaning.

Outside dimensions would be 22"x15"x4"

Pros:
Inexpensive
White material will reflect the light from the sides / bottom
right-ish dimensions
easy to clean
durable

Cons:
ugly
not easy to view frags from the side

Holy ********... I have no place for this but just had a great idea for a super compact frag system.

Bulkhead overflows on alternating sides drilled in the bottom. Every other tray is removed and replaced with blue/uv/white LED strip lights. They would not be incredibly efficient, but with tanks this shallow and lights that close you could get away with these: http://www.alibaba.com/product-deta..._1874072450.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.b9R4nz

or

This would give you ~ 500 square inches of frag space per tray so either 3,000 square inches or 6,000 square inches depending on how ballsy you felt.
