Is this Cyono?

Corwyn

I am in Raynham
I'm asking because all the references I have for it say that it coats the rock and isn't stringy like this,
but I can't figure out what else it would be.

best method to get it gone?

Could be dinoflagellates. But the deep red compares to brown is different. If it has bubbles in the strings then it is dinoflagellates.

Definitely dinos, have fun with the turkey baster lol

I m not away re of anything large dying maybe a hermit crab or something. There are some patches that do have bubbles in it,
other siphoning it off, any suggestions?

I am using hydra 26 - any lighting suggestions?

Lighting isn’t the issue. It is nutrient related. The nutrients won’t show on test kits because it is being consumed by the algae’s most of the time.

Black out periods help. Siphoning helps. Take an air line so it is a slow flow and target siphon the nuissence out.

If there are bubbles all over it they're dinoflagellates, I just had a war with these recently
