It is very flexible for dosing live phytoplankton. It is live food and it is safe to dose a large amount.

I will say 1 oz per 20 gallon of volume is a good start. I dose more than that.

Clam farms dose a lot till the water has a green tint.

It will continue to live in your aquarium and form the bottom of the food chain.

Within weeks, you no longer need to add pods as you will have so many.

I never shut off the skimmer as it wont make the skimmer go crazy.
It is alive and clean, it wont impact your parameters much except you no longer need phosphate remover...

Since it is very easy to keep the culture going, you can get a 16 oz starting culture and culture your own. So it is alway fresh and available. Also you can dose a lot for cheap, and share with other reefers.
