Photo dump, because why not? Tank is doing well, but I need more coral!

Not that far from each other! Maybe we can meet up one day to trade some corals. But my tank needs some time to grow and add more corals before I start fragging.

I’m in the same situation, but in the meantime where do you get your livestock from?

I used to go to a store in seekonk (Coral Reef Aquarium) that I loved, but they closed. I visited Ocean State Aquatics in Cranston a few times but I was never impressed with coral selection. However I heard they opened a bigger store that may be better.

Pretty much all my corals are from online. Top Shelf Aquatics and Aqua SD. But I’ll certainly be buying from this forum now that I am a member.

Animal Instincts in Fall River has some nice things but it is super small. Prices are very comparable to online, and they will order something for you if you want without any commitment to buy. They ordered me mocha vinci clowns and I was able to watch them for a couple weeks before bringing them home. Frag tank is small but some nice options.

Most of my stuff will be online as well or on the boards. Will be looking for a BTA at some point next month and seems like there are a lot of options on here.

I like Animal Instincts in general. I haven't been there for coral in the past five years or so. I have bought a lot of reptile supplies from them. Not sure what it looks like now. Same with the Fish Bowl which is right down the road from them. They have some saltwater fish and I think one or two tanks for corals.

I really miss Coral Reef Aquariums though :(

any updates?

Thanks for asking! Yesterday we lost power. Thankfully I had a ecotech batter for the return, and a car jumping battery that has a couple outlets. We made it through and got power back after only a few hours. I thought I was going to loose everything.

Everything looks pretty good. Haven’t gotten hair algae in my display since a vibrant treatment and the start of an algae scrubber. Right now it has been a month or so since a water change. Im not running my skimmer anymore.

Also started my first nano planted tank. I have a co2 system for it. Plan to keep/breed Bloody Mary shrimp. I just set this up yesterday right before the power

looking good, freshwater is always fun. How do you like your Nero wavemakers? Just got one myself

I have never had a problem with them. I prefer them over the mp10 I ran in my past tanks. I saw they came out with the Nero 3, perfect for nanos. Might need to find another spot and set up my old nuvo 20.
