It’s Marco rock which is heavy compared to dry ocean pukani. Each pile fills a large plastic box sized 17” x 15” x 13”. The top pile is 47 lbs and the bottom pile is 50 lbs.

Good catch. Marco is 100% natural rock. I’ve removed man made from the description.

“All rocks are not created equal! In fact, some are created by man and some by mother nature. MarcoRocks are 100% made by good ol mother earth. In fact much of southern florida as we know it is sitting on ancient coral reefs. This old reef, now only a mass of limestone skeleton, is the stuff of dreams for a modern day aqua-scaper. Once carefully unearthed and freed of sediment, it takes a shape not unlike those of regularly imported live rock BUT with none of the risks like pests, nasty die-off, while preserving our beautiful living reefs. Our rock is also carefully sourced to be free of anything that might effect its purity. This is one of best reasons to choose MarcoRocks.”

“100% natural calcium carbonate limestone-structured aragonite dry rock

Safe for all marine fish and reef aquarium systems

Guaranteed not to introduce undesirable hitchhikers, like algae and aiptasia

Will not leach undesirable contaminants or affect the aquarium nitrogen cycle

Harvested on land in a Florida rock quarry so no damage comes to natural coral reefs

Less expensive and more environmentally friendly than live rock

You get more volume per pound than live rock so less is required to aquascape your aquarium

Natural pores aid in biological filtration, water circulation and provide hiding places for fish and invertebrate

Easily stackable to create one-of-a-kind aquascapes that feature pillars, shelves, overhangs and caves”
