Ok finally! I have had 2 oscellaris clowns in a 48 gallon bow front with a BTA. I have been waiting patiently for the clowns to find the BTA! This morning I woke up to find my BTA split!! (not selling any *yet*) but this gave me the oppty to pull out one of the BTA's b/c it was on a small piece of LR. The other BTA was on a base piece of LR. SOooo I pulled out the LR put it in a pitcher with water then I caught the clowns and put them together. It took 6 minutes for the clowns to dive into the BTA!! I am wondering how long to keep this match going before I put them back into the 48 gallons... I would hate them to lose the BTA again and I don't want the water to get too cold or loose oxygen. maybe another 15 minutes.

Sooo excited!!

First photo clown still ignoring BTA
Second photo clown in BTA success!!

They tend to use bta’s when they feel they need to defend a territory.

Either sexual maturity, or competition, or they happen to feel comfortable closest to their anemone.

They may abandon it in the tank because that may be another fishes territory? Let us know how it goes since your another 15 minutes was 2 hours ago [emoji16]
