Phyto culture crash??

I have been growing Phyto for about a month now. All is going great. getting nice dark splits. I have always split about 8 days. this time its been about 12 days(life happens right). looks like a good color some heavies on the bottom but swished right in the water.

What does a crashed culture look like? How do you know that is has crashed?

In my experience, if the sample isn't fed, it will die off and turn clear. I once ran 1 gallon batch for 2-3 weeks before a split (typically split once a week).

Crashed culture will turn a light brown to eventually a more clear brown...

Not a problem Matt... I've had great success in crashing my phyto cultures in the past

I feed my culture every 1 or 2 weeks, and I split once a month. It's always a nice healthy green color with no odor. I keep a grow light on it for approximately 8 hours a day. I know this isn't the recommended method, but it works for me.
