Pufferfish lump on right side?

Hi I have an adult porcupine puffer with a lump on his right side lower back. Eats veggies no protein but still pretty active. Symptoms have started about two months. I have treated for parasites and tryed burping. Any ideas to help this guy out?

If it seems just below the surface of skin, you could feel the area, if it is hard, it might be a bacterial infection. Treat with broad spectrum antibiotic if you haven’t already, in a QT tank of course. Nitrifurazone maybe. Could try a small syringe to “pop” it and lightly draw any fluid out. This is pretty invasive and maybe wait until after treatment.

Thank you here are some pics

That fish actually looks pretty healthy. Even at full size, I can’t seem to see a mass or bump. I would not be too worried. Ever try feeding him raw shrimp (table shrimp we would eat cut to bite size he can manage)? Did it ever take protein?
Puffers bodies do appear a little mis-shapen sometimes. Have you had him a long time? Has he been in the same tank a long time. Captive fish sometimes grow a little “funny” from habitual swimming in a relatively static captive environment.

I’ve had him for 3 years his diet consists of shrimp clams pellets and now peas same tank 120 gallon tank. Thanks for your help he is an awesome fish sits in my hand. When I tryed burping him doesn’t even fight, cool personality
