Purpose of Informal Get-Togethers forum

We (the BOD) realize that the club is very large, and very diverse geographically speaking. While people had previously posted info about non-official get-togethers in the Lounge, the threads are quickly lost amongst the other Lounge stuff. We did not want to subdivide this forum into individual geographical regions because we hope that members will not necessarily restrict their get-togethers to only those living close by. Also, we've previously not seen enough of these types of posts that they'd be hard to sort though in a single forum.
