I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Just setup a new 38gal DT and I'm nearing the end of my fishless cycle. I started with dry rock to keep hitchhikers and problems out. Now as I plan the purchase of my 1st fish I dont want to introduce and parasites into the new tank. So I need to setup a QT ....The question is how? I cant pull water from the main tank due to it's small size. Do I have to do another fishless cycle in a 10gal QT ? If i do this can I just use a hob filter In my QT? And when i dont have fish in the QT what can i do to keep the bacteria fed? Help would be appreciated. Thanks!
