Sand cleaner

What inverts will clean diatoms off of the sand bed besides fighting conch & sea hare? I have astrea snails, but they only eat algae on the glass & rock.
Anybody has any recommendations?

Nassarius snails helps clean and aerate the sandbed by picking up uneaten food, fish waste, etc. and may also help by stirring up the diatoms.

Uh oh Dejavue thread from RC  ;)

I have had a tiger tail cucumber for 4+yrs. Does a very good job on the sand in my 75g. Size varies but mine tiger tail is about 6" when stretched out.
When first added they climb on tank walls and rock but usually settle down to sand bed in a couple weeks.

Also agree with Nassarious(sp?)snails. Maybe 1 per every 2-3g.

Yes, the nassasarius snail is great. I need to get more for my tank.
It sounds like the cucumber is doing a good job at cleaning the sand, but I'm afraid my fighting conch won't have enough food if I get the cucumber.
