Sand ?

All i know is that Tropic eden miniflakes WILL blow around in a high flow SPS tank. No way around it unless you are low flow or have such a tall tank that you do not have high flow at the bottom. Guaranteed it will shift wherever the flow takes it. If I was going to do it again I would go a step up and mix with the higher step up. Whatever those names are in the eden family of sands. That would probably give the most optimal results in a SPS tank with a grain size that is appealing versus blowing around.

All I know is that I want high enough flow to get debris raised up into the water column from the sand to reach the overflow and skimmer. I knew what I was getting into but with carpet anemones I was willing to deal with it. But as I clean the tank over time I have been sucking some out in prep to replace it with the next higher up sized grains. I am hoping this gives me a reasonable compromise for my situation. If it was just SPS? I would do what I recommended above.
