show me your sump setups and equipment, especially you diy'ers out there. i'm piecing my new tank together now, i picked up a 60 gallon cube reef ready with corner over flow. i will most likely build my own stand so i am not limited to any specific sizes.

OK so this whole thing was DIY. I started with a 30 gal. roughly 36in Long 18in Tall 12in deep. First chamber is 14in long(needed the room for the heater) 2 custom made filter sock holder, bubble trap then fuge area is 12in long and return area is 10inch.

How do you like that reefbreeders ATO?

I love it, work great, good performance, and nice price point. It replaced an old model tunze that had all sorts of float switches and bulky controller. This is much more stream lined and takes up less more.

I'm installing one this weekend on my wifes NANO. Thanks for the feedback.

just set this up a week ago, I have a lot of wire management and fine tuning to do

Still not assembled... But that should give you an idea of what it will look like

I went through the wall. makes for an easier fix if I ever get rid of the tank or sell the house.
I cut the opening in the wall to the size of a double outlet so all I have to do is put in a double box and then a blank plate for around 5 bucks.

DIY ... what I would have done different would be to make the base mobile (instead of sitting on 2x4's), so it can roll out when I need to get behind it. Would also have rounded off the edges. Allow extra head room for upgrades (upgraded skimmer and fits with about a sixteenth inch clearance).

I got a DIY 20g long sump for my 65g, I built the stand so the 20 can be removed throught the sides. Have Side panels on hinges, making a hidden door. First chamber is live rock, tank overflow drain and doser. Second is Skimmer, heater and frag. Third is Chaeto, layer of rock and frags. fourth is rock chunk and return.

I have a 2-tank sump for my 50g. The right-side tank receives overflow from the main tank, and holds maybe 8 gallons (not sure). It has a skimmer, a heater, an AI prime light, and some random corals (I used to have a bunch of chaeto in there, but got rid of it). The water then drains to the left tank, where a bunch of sponges and tube worms grow (and has a bunch of 10 year old bio-balls, which I am pretty sure were a marketing scam back in the day). From there the water is pumped back up to the main tank.
