Silicone question

Soaking in the salt info
If I am building a coral viewer or adding something to a tank what silicone do I use that is safe?

The rtv silicon is good. I use the marine silicon for boats etc. if I remember correctly from older posts there is a number after the type of silicon (2?).

Just make sure it isn't "anti-mold" or anti-anything-else. They usually state that prominently if it is.
 
I just made a coral viewer with my boy, we used super glue gel. We used a 4” schedule 40 coupling from Home Depot and a piece of acrylic we had laying around. Works awesome, no leaks. Although on my next one I will try silicone, I’m thinking silicone will be easier for cleaning up the excess after putting the two pieces together. Then we’ll know which is better longevity wise. I’m just going to use any aquarium sealant, petco sells it.
 
Any round fitting, acrylic and some Weld-On will make you a great coral viewer
