Sump Help

I have a 12 x 14 x 24 used Amiracle sump I want to use for my 37G cube. I think it will be enough room. It is only the box part - what you see in the picture, so I have to do the rest myself. My question is, there is a bulkhead as you can see. I put a cover on it for no other reason than I wanted to do something to it. Anyway as I am getting around to really making it a sump - does this bulkhead mean that I should get an external return pump.

Also - there is a slot about in the middle. I am thinking that I have to get a piece of acrylic to divide this into a refugium and the return part.

I apologize for the poor picture quality, I keep getting speckles.

:lol: I was trying to see if I could help. Your picture is kind of small.

And no, just because you have a bulkhead does not mean you have to use an external pump. A bulkhead and pump outside the sump are just more areas where a leak can occur, and when possible I recommend keeping such possibilities to a minimum.
