Uni-seals as bulkheads?

Any reason this wouldn't work? I've used uni-seals in the past with excellent results, but never as a bulkhead on a glass tank.

I have an application where I need a very slim line bulkhead. A traditional bulkhead won't work as the shank is way too long. A uni-seal would be perfect, and I happen to have a few on hand.

They can, but you have to be careful with them. Since they work on pressure you need to make sure that you are not putting too much pressure on your glass, ie your hole isnt undersized. I would stick to bulkheads if I were you and use uniseals for plastic and fiberglass.

Can you turn the bulkhead around so the flange is on the outside of the tank and the other side is sticking into the tank? I use this method all the time.
