Wrasse Question

I am thinking about adding a couple of wrasses (reef safe variety) to my tank. I know that some wrasse require a sand bed and others don't. My tank is bare bottom, so is there a way to know which species I would be able to add to my tank?

Usually the descriptions on Live Aquaria will tell you. The only reef safe wrasses that I know of that require sand (off the top of my head) are in the Leopard Wrasse family. And they can be hard to keep alive, especially in a smaller tank.

I have more than 25 wrasses in my tank and I have the bare bottom too. I put in two bucket with the sand on the back of my rock most the wrasses go there at night time with no problem.

I have 2 Lubbock Wrasses and while I have sand on the bottom, they don’t use it. They sleep in the rocks.
