Bigger is always better right?

To a certain point. I think the sweet spot is really 200G-600G.
anything smaller is a fish compatibility challenge and anything bigger is a cost/maintenance challenge.
Agree, I thought my current tank footprint would be plenty and was all I could realistically fit but would l;ove another 2 or so feet in length and a foot in width. 8'x4' footprint would be my ideal.
 
My 30 gallon tank. Kept it small to keep cost low.
