Boat builders 120ish

Done with the scape for now. I think it’ll suffice as a foundation for what I want. I’m planning an inch and a half of special grade. Got a price from alufab on the stand. $580.00 plus shipping. About $200 less than framing tech.

Today’s dumb question. I have enough 1/2” type one pvc left over from my sump to top my stand instead of 3/4” ply. I also have 20’ of 15/15 80/20. If a add two or three more top struts on the stand will the pvc be enough support? Also the tank bottom is 3/4” euro braced and I’m planning 1/2” foam under the tank.

I thought I’d have more time but I gave my brother my boat and he had a laundry list of updates and sprucing up. Now that that’s done ✔️ back to the tank. These are the counter tops of the two side cabinets.

I little progress 21 outlets plus another 8 with the apex. Hope it’s enough also added tabs into the tank trim so I can remove it if it gets worn and faded. I did a glue test this morning an found Weldon 17 did a fine job bonding acrylic to epvc so I’m hoping to start the in stand tray this weekend

A little detail today since finding info on bonding paneling to epvc is hard to come by and incomplete (at least that was my experience). I settled on locktite plx3 I would have preferred x8 but this was available and for pvc rated even with fuzit. Many of these adhesives need moisture so I spritzed the panels with water. The paneling before spreading and the epvc after. Finally I found this stuff needed a lot more pressing than liquid nails but my tests with that yielded unreliable results.

Thanks Edward I’ve been getting up at 4 to get an hour or two in every morning before work.

I took the afternoon off and played with some white acrylic and weldon 16, this stuff is great it reminded me of being a kid building models on a rainy day. The side shelves are 12”x7. should fit an apex trident and will hopefully drain into the tray if there’s ever a spill.

believe it or not milling that piece so it tilts forward like that and is tight when vertical was far more challenging than it was in my head.

Love the 80/20, some of my favorite stuff to work with. I have made a few stands out of that as well. Great stuff.
