Hello All.
I was out of the hobby the last few years and just recently got back into the hobby.

I am going to document all the steps of this setup so that I can look back and see the progress.

Looks fantastic! Did you use old Tonga branch I'm your scape, from the before time?
 
Great stand! Was that your own design, or did you have plans to go off of? Was trying to find some good plans to use back before I decided to just go with a Reefer...
 
Regarding the stand,
I bought one of the unfinished kitchen sink cabinets from HomeDepot, threw away everything except the door and the drawer. Built the whole stand with 3/4 Plywood and used the door and the drawer from the cabinet.

some updates since a few weeks ago.
  1. Removed sand
  2. swapped out the sump and skimmer
  3. added some chRomis

Nice. I think the no sand was a good idea. Easy to keep clean. I have two power heads in each bottom corner of my red sea 170 and the flow is perfect!
