Hello there!

My name is Nick, I am new to keeping a reef tank. I have been in the fish keeping hobby for 10+ years I actually started out with a 55g Saltwater tank with my family when I was little we kept Tangs (Yellows, Scopas and Sailfins) , clownfish (Snowflakes, Saddlebacks and Ocellaris) a Lionfish (Volitan) and many different inverts. Since then I have primarily been keeping/breeding freshwater fish and selling them to my local stores around the South-Eastern part of MA. Currently I am running around 4x 40g Breeders and a 125g. I am converting one of the 40g to a grow out tank for frags ever since I purchased a Bio Cube 16g from the Petco I work at.

I have been working at Petco as an Aquatic Specialist for around a year and a half and yes I understand I might get a little hate from it however I see it as a way that I can learn about the hobby and help teach average Joe's how to keep their tank health and prevent crashes. Trust me there is a lot of people out there that shouldn't be running the fish department at a big box stores and I still try to recommend local mom and pop stores regularly, however people still shop where they want to.

Like I said I am a beginner to reef tanks, however doesn't mean that I don't do my fair share of research. I love this hobby and it is a part of my life.

Thanks y'all for reading and if anyone is trying to help a guy out with stocking his grow out frag tank pm me ;)

Welcome! I have to admit that although Petco is extremely hit or miss, I was actually really impressed by the marine livestock I saw last time I was in. Post us some pics of your tank!

Will post more pictures sorry took a bit have been busy with work and school.

I love the Tetris configuration of all the tanks! Cool!
Thanks man. The wooden setup on top of my Lizards custom enclosure is still in the works, but I threw those cichlids in the 125g recently and I plan on changing that to a frag grow out tank. ( The 40 on the right)
