Yep absolutely…it looks like you don’t have any algae in the tank though? With those crisp white rocks, your snail really doesn’t have much to eat.

The three turbos clean rocks good , you can’t tell there is a little brown on the rocks
Yep but also these guys can eat a ton of algae and the diatoms might not be sustaining them, especially if you have some tangs that are also pecking the rocks all day. Probably not a huge deal either way but IMO it’s not a terrible idea to supplement them with some nori, and I’d rather feed everyone a little extra than have the snails die and foul up the tank.

Lol sorry if I sound like I’m nagging. Tank looks great! Any plans on adding a nem for the clowns?

LoL no plans for another nem , I had one in my old tank and my clown would host my acans not the nem , I think they do a great job helping keep the water clean though

Well I haven’t done an update since May , man time fly’s.. Nothing really new just taking it slow , corals are starting to grow , the only thing I have been battling so far is low nitrates.. I am probably going to get some bright wells neo , phosphates have been fine , in between.03 to .08 depending on feeding . So I can’t complain about anything bad .. Happy reefing

Ya I like the stand better on the water box , I was going back and forth my self on the two
Hey there, may I ask…. did you get the “new and improved” 625 with aluminum reinforced supports? We are getting back in but really struggling with the RS 625 or new 550. TIA!

I have the 625 G2 , it added a aluminum center support and the front armored corners in the display tank , so far I haven’t had any problems.. I love the 3/4 thick glass ..I wish the stand was all aluminum for more of a longevity standpoint, but so it’s been great

I know - I have been scouting out videos but so far none appear - I printed out the instructions and when that day arrives - there may be bloodshed! Haha! But looking forward to it -

Like why would they go ahead and tell you to drill the space on the extra slide out panel door before you get the cabinet built and then have to sit inside to get it done? Makes no sense to me - we will see and I may record -

Because it makes it easier than trying to drill the holes inside the cabinet when it’s built , it was a pain for me to drill my holes for my versa’s after the fact , I would suggest doing any drilling if you know where you’re putting the holes now , my fat a** almost got stuck in that small side cabinet

Man I tell ya time goes by quick , I post some picks of the tank this week for updates . Tank is doing good , had a couple weeks of an ugly faze , starting to get some good growth on some of the corals.. I started using a CO 2 scrubber and man what a difference in the PH and now I give my protein skimmer a 5 hour break and it’s been working pretty good that’s my update for now .. happy reefing fellow reefers

Looking good.

I just set up a 625 and plan on taking the same slow, lights off approach. I know exactly what you mean about drilling the slide out panel - how the heck are you supposed to get it level?

A lot of very bad words were spoken yesterday...

Thanks , Make sure not to put the bottom panels in that the sump sits on ,that way you can level the tank , thats probably the main thing I didn’t like about the tank ,is putting the stand together, I am not patient and I probably swore just as much as you , I feel like I had less of an algae issue with the lights off approach myself comparing to my last system I set up.. Around three mounts or so I was lights out . The fish really didn’t mind because they were still ambient light from the room.. I used live sand with dry rock , with Microbactor7 which I still use

couple of shots of the tank
