My maroon clownfish has buried or relocated one of my favorite mushrooms. I've tried sifting through the sandbed, but no luck. What are the chances it will resurface? Can it live buried in the sand?
Mushrooms will sometimes let loose from the rock their on. There are a variety of reasons this happens, I would say the most common issue is too much flow. It is most likely in a nook and cranny of your rock work. Unfortunately a mushroom can not live buried in sand. I would restrain from sifting through your sand bed and look around your aquascape. Stirring up the sand could cause a cloud and make it harder to locate. My maroon clownfish has buried or relocated one of my favorite mushrooms. I've tried sifting through the sandbed, but no luck. Thanks. I keep looking. It was my last ric. I keep a few in the basement, but every time I bring them up to my display tank, they get smaller and smaller. This one was doing OK until it disappeared.Never give up hope. I know sometimes they go for ever, but I have had things reappear when I thought they were totally gone. Corals are the most amazing creatures and I kept seeing proof it it the longer I’m in this hobby
