I bought someone Red Sea 450xl with extra equipment but I m getting mix answers about the extra equipment if it worth installing...

1. DUAL REACTOR - someone said no don't need it another person said yes but fill both chambers with carbon NOT GFO ... what should I do

2. Reef Keeper Lite & the SLX System Lab X is it worth hooking up

Since you have it might aswell use the reefkeeper but be warned there isnt going to be any updates or support as they dont make those anymore.

Welcome to BRS!

As BiGGie said, keep the dual reactor for now. Once you get everything running and you're comfortable with things then you can decide to use it or not.

Any automation that will make life easier will keep you happier. As long as the RKL works I'd use it like Casino said. I'd just make sure it's really working before trusting anything important with it.

Welcome to the Boston Reefer’s! If your new to the hobby my best advice to you would be keep it simple. I would set up your Red Sea with as little of all those gadgets as possible. You might not need those reactors for awhile. Hold on to them and find out through testing what your system needs. I wouldn’t run two carbons, not needed. GFO on a new tank? To soon. I have a Red Sea if you need more advice. Happy Reefing!
