Hi Reefers,

I lived in N.J. most of my live but became a Snowbird this past year, with plans of living in FL for 6 months/yr and R.I. 6 mo/yr. (My wife and I just moved to R.I. 3 weeks ago from FL). I've been in the hobby for over 50 years; (SPS for 25 yrs). I had a veterinary hospital & pet shop in N.J. for 29 years which I closed 6 years ago. (I'm an Avian Specialist). When in N.J., I was a SPS vendor at shows, including Reefapalooza, for many years and I am starting over again after all my moving around.

My biggest challenge will be maintaining systems in two states. Initially, I will be moving livestock back and forth every 6 months....(I have an electric car).... but eventually hope to maintain systems remotely with GHL controllers, cameras, etc....and hopefully a friend! :) With every trip/season, I hope to fine-tune my system until I feel confident leaving livestock behind. (I will also wait until I have a duplicate set of corals in each state in case I lose any).

I've been active on R2R and want to do the same with the Boston Reefers. Thanks for having me!

Jim

Welcome! If I'm connecting the dots correctly this must be Jim from Amwell??? I have been to you place with my birds and have seen your reef tank downstairs as well. Nice to see you around here!

Yes, that's me! Probably would recognize you if I saw you! :) Maybe we will run into each other at a show!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Nice to be here in N.E. and with another group of Reefers!
