The plan is to rinse sand several times with fresh saltwater, and if it still has a bunch of detritus I’ll just replace it. Or just go bare bottom, since I’ll be moving it right back after the remodel. Do fighting conch and nassarius snails need sandbed?

I wouldn’t rinse it and put it back in…might as well just use new sand and deal with minimal diatoms for a little while or just go bare bottom. As for the snails and conch they necessarily dont need sand but they do benefit by eating the detritus in the sand so might want to find them a new home if going bare bottom

Night time is the best.
