Any thoughts? Definitely not a good thing. I'm wondering if I knocked it by accident and then flow tore it.

I moved it to a frag rack with much lower flow for recovery if it is possible at this point.

Agree it looks injured mechanically more than sick. The fact that it’s not retracted I would say is pretty positive. Lower flow is a good idea, maybe iodine dip to ward off infection?

+ 1 for a revive or iodine dip

It's trying to fight off contact from a different coral species. Something touched it and its upset. Move its location as you did and use a iodine dip and will be fine

I did a revive dip to start with and will come into the classroom tomorrow evening to check on its progress. May go to an iodine dip if that isn't enough.
