Hey All,

Figured I'd start a parameter thread and see what and where others keep them.

Salt:
Brightwell Neo Marine 1.026
Nitrate: 29
Phosphate: 0.061
Alkalinity: 8.9
Magnesium: 1280
Calcium: 480
Daily Dosing: 1.32ml of Manganese, 0.26ml of Chromium, 0.26ml of Cobalt, .2ml of Iron, .75ml of Rubidium and 0.36 of Seachem Reef Iodide. Just started dosing .12ml of selenium as well.
I use Reef Moonshiners Method and haven't done water changes in quite some time.

Should add a tank shot with the parameters!

Nitrate: 10-15
Phosphate: 0.08-0.14

I am about 9 months in on this tank so it is still settling in. SPS dominated with basically all frags at this point.

270 gallon display
50 gallon frag tank
100 gallon rubbermaid sump (1/2 full)
40 gallon Bashsea sump (holds fleece roller, skimmer and reactors for carbon and phosban)

I use IO salt and do maybe 30g water change a month

I am adding Red Sea Reef Energy + AB - only dosing 2ml per day which is a tiny amount based on my volume.
I feed fish heavy twice a day on auto feeder and once a day frozen and have 45 fish in display.

Salinity 1.026
Alk 8.6 (swings between 8.4-8.7 based on my trident)
Calcium 420
Mag 1300
pH 7.7-7.9 (trying to raise with CO2 scrubber)
NO3 20-30 (trying to bring down a bit)
PO4 0.07

Need another 2 years for stuff to fill in....

hey mike you only dose 2ml per day on ab+ does that even make a difference? and when you dose it like that dont your skimmer just skim it out? because i dose mine 20ml for 200g volume tank.

My corals react with increased polyp extension but I am guessing very minimal overall impact. I was going to start slow and ramp up watching all other parameters. Have only been doing it about a month if that. I also feed it shortly before feeding the fish hoping the increase capture drive from the corals might catch some stuff in the water column when feeding fish.

Because the recommended dose was 4ml/25g on mixed reef tank so thats why 2ml on a 270g seem so low.

Yeah if I follow the instructions the bottle would be gone almost instantly. If it helps to entice the corals to feed while I am feeding other stuff than that may be all I need.

I had a thriving tank didn't dose anything then went on vacation and my Skimmer overflowed into my C02 Scrubber and the media went into my sump killed everything except my Clam and Fish. A year later I'm just able to grow SPS again. I do have a lot of light 5 Radion Xr6 Pro's and a lot of flow 4 MP40's at the bottom and 2 MP60's at each end
