Power supply question

My Gyre pump stopped work and I think it maybe the power supply. I have a spare power supply but has higher AMP output.
Old Output 24.0v 3.0A
New 24.0v 4.0A

Is this usable or do I need to wait for new power supply to coming?
Thanks for any input.

It is perfectly fine, you don’t need to buy a new powersupply.
The powersupply rating is for its max output, as long as the max amp output is larger than or equal to the old one, it is good.

For matter of fact, most powersupplies that come with pumps are rated at larger current than the pumps can draw. A higher amp rating also means the powersupply will work less hard and cooler then lead to longer service life.
This does not apply to the old Tunze powerheads with the round powersupplies.
