Selcon directly into a reef tank?

Is anyone using Selcon directly into the tank? I have only used it as a food booster for fish but the directions state that you can use it at 1/2 ml per 50 in a reef tank. I am wondering if anyone has seen positive results beyond an increase in Selcon purchases.

Well, it's one way the manufacturer can get you to use a lot more of their product, right?
I wouldn't do it. Just use a little in the food.
If you add to the tank, you could be contributing to a cayno or algae bloom.

I have stopped using it to soak my food in. I only feed flake or frozen once or twice a week, and I was getting algae blooms right after every feeding. After I ditched the Selcon no more blooms after feeding.

This stuff will shut your skimmer down for quite a while. If you use, I would be carefully to do so sparingly.

get some fish oil, same stuff you just pay more for it as selcon. I use to dose it into the tank but after not noticing any effects from it I stopped using the stuff. be careful cause to much can pollute the water
